About Lisa
After twelve years in the Bay Area, Lisa Mendelman recently relocated to Los Angeles, where she is a PhD candidate in English literature at UCLA. Her areas of interest include desire and intimacy in 19th through 21st century American literature, including film and non-fiction. In addition to studying literature, Lisa has spent the past eight years writing, editing, and teaching. The PhD is really just an excuse to keep doing all of the above for an indefinite period of time.
No matter how many of these identifiers she writes, she finds it very hard to write about herself in the third person.
